當代樂坊 Formosa Melody Music Center (FMMC)

1994年“當代樂坊”在宜蘭縣成立，為宜蘭專業的製作和表演團隊，企劃與製作無數的國際大型活動，及深具意義之演出，合作對象遍及五大洲的音樂家。曾三度獲選僑委會宣慰僑胞的訪問團，所到之處獲得熱烈的掌聲外，更讓許多僑胞感動的落淚，場場安可與驚呼聲不斷，為臺灣贏得無數讚賞與掌聲。多次受邀於國家音樂廳演出，舉辦過許許多多的慈善義演，足跡遍及山野、海濱、廟口、學校、醫院、表演廳，甚至遠渡重洋到歐美日等地演出。

曾和奧地利、加拿大、法國、瑞士、德國、非洲、拉脫維亞等等音樂家合作演出。1998年參加「保加利亞第26屆保加斯市國際民俗藝術節」，2001年到2004年四度舉辦國際音樂節，希望將宜蘭打造成音樂的故鄉。2006年成為國立傳統藝術中心的唯一駐園團隊。2007年承辦亜太合唱藝術節，吸引近30國數百名音樂人士參與。2008年應邀參加捷克國際藝術節活動，獲選最受歡迎團隊，並舉辦「國際重唱節」邀請多國ACappella 來宜蘭演出。2010年於美國舉辦臺灣文化營。2015-2022連續八年承辦「丟丟銅蘭城國際音樂節」，每年都邀請十餘國藝術團隊來臺演出，獲得熱烈迴響，成功地為宜蘭豎立了國際活動之典範。也是2019、2020、2022、2023、2024年宜蘭綠色博覽會表演執行單位。

除了演出工作與舉辦各項國際活動外，當代樂坊對於音樂教育工作也不遺餘力。文化的成長是日積月累涓滴成河而成，“當代樂坊”正在為宜蘭的民間音樂團體寫下歷史新頁，由衷感激曾經提供協助與關懷的每位朋友。築夢復圓夢，所有即將實現的理想都希望能有您一路相隨。

FMMC was established in Yilan, Taiwan, in 1994. It has been invited many times to perform in the National Performance Hall, and has given countless performances and charity concerts in the fields and beaches, local temples, schools, hospitals, concert halls, and in overseas countries for almost 30 years.

In the past 30 years we have worked with many talented musicians – Composer Michel Rochat from Switzerland, French pianist Alexander Bardovsky and Queen Elisabeth Competition winner Latvian Violinist Baibe Squid. Our goal is not only to work with foreign musician but also bringing Taiwanese culture to the world.

Since 2015, FMMC has become the main body to organize Yilan International Art Festival. In the past few year 32 countries and nearly 2000 artists have been participated in this event. It was well received by the international audience and has successfully made Yilan as a shining city for holding international events.

FMMC is also endeavoring its efforts and energy to bring Taiwan on the world stage. In February 2023 we participated in Adelaide Fringe and won the “Theatre and Physical Theatre” Award. And in September 2023 we were commissioned by Overseas Community Affairs Council, R.O.C. (Taiwan) to toured in Canada & USA for 45 days giving performances in 16 cities. Every place we went to received huge warm responses from the audience. In February 2024, we toured in many countries in Asia.

We are at the moment in contact with Sam Gough - Chief Executive at Summer Hall in Edinburgh, Darren Lee Cole - Artistic Director at SoHo Playhouse in New York and Andy Beecroft – Marketplace Manager at Adelaide Fringe to arrange more possible performances in the world.
